Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring, Information Technology and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.99% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Nurol Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:NUGYO), which rose 20.00% or 0.890 points to trade at 5.340 at the close. Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS) added 5.92% or 0.77 points to end at 13.77 and Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) was up 5.44% or 0.130 points to 2.520 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Otokar Otomotiv ve Savunma Sanayi AS (IS:OTKAR), which lost 3.14% or 4.10 points to trade at 126.30 in late trade. DO & Co AG (IS:DOCO) declined 1.99% or 5.40 points to end at 266.60 and EIS Eczacibasi Ilac Sinai ve Finansal Yatirimlar Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ECILC) shed 1.36% or 0.060 points to 4.350.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 246 to 105 and 55 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.73% or 9.30 to $1270.20 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.92% or 0.42 to hit $46.06 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 1.21% or 0.58 to trade at $48.44 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.37% to 3.5379, while EUR/TRY rose 0.09% to 3.9595.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 97.31.
