Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Transport and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 1.14%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Akenerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IS:AKENR), which rose 8.77% or 0.050 points to trade at 0.620 at the close. Konya Cimento Sanayi AS (IS:KONYA) added 7.29% or 12.80 points to end at 188.30 and Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAL) was up 5.38% or 2.54 points to 49.74 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tofas Turk Otomobil Fabrikasi AS (IS:TOASO), which lost 6.64% or 1.40 points to trade at 19.70 in late trade. Yazicilar Holding AS (IS:AGHOL) declined 4.65% or 0.60 points to end at 12.30 and Aygaz AS (IS:AYGAZ) shed 4.41% or 0.57 points to 12.35.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 180 to 179 and 48 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.42% or 5.10 to $1232.90 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.76% or 0.51 to hit $67.33 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.64% or 0.49 to trade at $76.66 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 1.48% to 5.6191, while EUR/TRY fell 1.46% to 6.4062.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 96.38.
