Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Sports and Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.03% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tumosan Motor ve Traktor Sanayi AS (IS:TMSN), which rose 3.81% or 0.280 points to trade at 7.630 at the close. Polisan Holding AS (IS:POLHO) added 3.27% or 0.280 points to end at 8.830 and Aksa Enerji Uretim AS (IS:AKSEN) was up 3.13% or 0.110 points to 3.630 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESTL), which lost 13.88% or 1.530 points to trade at 9.490 in late trade. Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri AS ORD (IS:TCELL) declined 4.69% or 0.70 points to end at 14.21 and Vestel Beyaz Esya Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESBE) shed 3.80% or 0.400 points to 10.130.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 216 to 138 and 48 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.15% or 1.95 to $1279.25 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $54.30 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.12% or 0.07 to trade at $60.42 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.18% to 3.8074, while EUR/TRY rose 0.23% to 4.4463.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.18% at 94.53.
