Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Transport, Wood, Paper & Printing and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.38%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were TAV Havalimanlari Holding (IS:TAVHL), which rose 5.68% or 1.72 points to trade at 32.02 at the close. Erbosan Erciyas Boru Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:ERBOS) added 4.01% or 2.60 points to end at 67.45 and Teknosa Ic ve Dis Ticaret AS (IS:TKNSA) was up 2.79% or 0.130 points to 4.790 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE), which lost 4.79% or 0.270 points to trade at 5.370 in late trade. Yapi ve Kredi Bankasi AS (IS:YKBNK) declined 3.83% or 0.070 points to end at 1.760 and Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT) shed 3.63% or 0.540 points to 14.320.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 257 to 101 and 47 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.43% or 17.10 to $1208.80 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.11% or 0.08 to hit $75.22 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.02% or 0.02 to trade at $85.00 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.69% to 5.9806, while EUR/TRY rose 0.54% to 6.9194.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 95.01.
