Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms, Wholesale & Retail Trade and Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 1.74%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ege Endustri (IS:EGEEN), which rose 3.72% or 9.00 points to trade at 251.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Bagfas (IS:BAGFS) added 3.09% or 0.40 points to end at 13.35 and AvivaSA Emeklilik ve Hayat AS (IS:AVISA) was up 2.81% or 0.45 points to 16.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Dogus Otomotiv (IS:DOAS), which fell 13.54% or 1.55 points to trade at 9.90 at the close. Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS) declined 4.17% or 0.010 points to end at 0.230 and Gubre Fabrik. (IS:GUBRF) was down 3.45% or 0.23 points to 6.43.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 314 to 79 and 17 ended unchanged.
Shares in AvivaSA Emeklilik ve Hayat AS (IS:AVISA) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.81% or 0.45 to 16.00.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.98% or 11.20 to $1134.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.23% or 1.02 to hit $44.68 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 1.99% or 0.96 to trade at $47.63 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.02% to 3.0448, while EUR/TRY rose 0.26% to 3.4218.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.27% at 96.10.
