Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Textile & Leather, Electricity and Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.25%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI), which rose 6.86% or 2.14 points to trade at 33.32 at the close. Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS) added 4.66% or 0.890 points to end at 19.990 and Trakya Cam Sanayi AS (IS:TRKCM) was up 4.31% or 0.150 points to 3.630 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Halk Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:HLGYO), which lost 1.98% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.990 in late trade. Turkiye Halk Bankasi (IS:HALKB) declined 1.94% or 0.24 points to end at 12.12 and Park Elektrik Uretim Madencilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:PRKME) shed 1.86% or 0.080 points to 4.230.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 217 to 127 and 61 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.10% or 1.34 to $1287.36 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.16% or 0.08 to hit $51.48 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.56% or 0.32 to trade at $56.84 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.02% to 3.5586, while EUR/TRY rose 0.18% to 4.2041.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 92.99.
