Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Healthcare, Financial Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC fell 0.44%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Ohl Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:OHLMEX), which rose 2.90% or 0.660 points to trade at 23.450 at the close. VOLARIS A (MX:VOLARA) added 2.39% or 0.60 points to end at 25.70 and Coca-Cola Femsa, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:KOFL) was up 1.84% or 2.68 points to 148.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Carso, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GCARSOA1), which lost 4.33% or 3.730 points to trade at 82.450 in late trade. PINFRA SAB De CV (MX:PINFRA) declined 3.66% or 7.53 points to end at 198.00 and Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (MX:GFINBURO) shed 3.63% or 1.190 points to 31.550.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 133 to 125 and 10 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.57% or 6.98 to $1236.98 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.57% or 0.28 to hit $48.57 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 0.48% or 0.25 to trade at $51.57 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.39% to 18.6302, while EUR/MXN rose 0.62% to 20.6482.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.77% at 98.05.
