Investing.com - The number of building permits issued in Canada fell unexpectedly last month, official data showed on Monday.
In a report, Statistics Canada said that Canadian building permits fell to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of -5.5%, from -2.1% in the preceding month whose figure was revised down from -1.9%.
Analysts had expected Canadian building permits to rise to 1.5% last month.
