In a report, Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation said that Canadian housing starts rose to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 218.3K, from 186.7K in the preceding month whose figure was revised down from 188.6K.
Analysts had expected Canadian housing starts to rise to 189.5K last month.
