Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Healthcare, Financial Services and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC declined 0.76%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Empresas ICA , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ICA), which rose 15.25% or 0.970 points to trade at 7.370 at the close. Meanwhile, Industrias CH, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ICHB) added 2.21% or 1.250 points to end at 58.000 and Grupo Simec, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:SIMECB) was up 1.15% or 0.490 points to 43.280 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB), which fell 4.05% or 0.580 points to trade at 13.830 at the close. Grupo Aeroportuario Del CentroNorte (MX:OMAB) declined 3.45% or 2.980 points to end at 83.590 and Ohl Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:OHLMEX) was down 3.02% or 0.660 points to 21.260.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 104 to 65 and 8 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 1.29% or 14.50 to $1106.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 3.77% or 1.73 to hit $44.23 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 3.83% or 1.90 to trade at $47.62 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.02% to 16.8275, while EUR/MXN rose 0.07% to 18.8574.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.13% at 95.96.
