Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 1.04%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS), which rose 4.87% or 5.7 points to trade at 122.8 at the close. Meanwhile, Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) added 3.79% or 1.8 points to end at 50.1 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) was up 3.71% or 1.04 points to 29.05 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which fell 5.66% or 0.39 points to trade at 6.50 at the close. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) declined 4.65% or 12.1 points to end at 247.4 and Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS) was down 4.22% or 0.4 points to 8.4.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 103 to 77 and 5 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 4.27% or 1.29 to $31.64 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 4.54% or 1.42 to hit $32.73 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 1.18% or 13.00 to trade at $1118.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.78% to 9.4299, while USD/NOK fell 0.73% to 8.6945.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.18% at 99.17.
