Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Property, Holding Firms and Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite added 1.57%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Intl Container (PS:ICT), which rose 5.65% or 3.800 points to trade at 71.000 at the close. Meanwhile, Aboitiz Equity (PS:AEV) added 3.86% or 2.150 points to end at 57.850 and Ayala Land (PS:ALI) was up 3.68% or 1.250 points to 35.200 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Globe Telecom (PS:GLO), which fell 0.99% or 20.000 points to trade at 2000.000 at the close. Philex Mining (PS:PX) declined 0.99% or 0.050 points to end at 5.000 and Universal Robi (PS:URC) was down 0.85% or 1.700 points to 198.000.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 108 to 73 and 21 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.15% or 1.60 to $1079.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.11% or 0.04 to hit $41.77 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.11% or 0.05 to trade at $44.13 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.08% to 7.3592, while USD/PHP fell 0.05% to 46.989.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.38% at 99.45.
