Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Transport, Banking and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 1.25% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tekstilbank (IS:TEKST), which rose 8.81% or 0.200 points to trade at 2.470 at the close. Meanwhile, Besiktas Futbol Yat. (IS:BJKAS) added 3.52% or 0.07 points to end at 2.06 and Aksa Enerji (IS:AKSEN) was up 2.84% or 0.080 points to 2.900 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS), which fell 4.35% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.230 at the close. Pegasus (IS:PGSUS) declined 3.81% or 0.800 points to end at 20.200 and Vakiflar Bankasi (IS:VAKBN) was down 3.80% or 0.150 points to 3.800.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 255 to 143 and 12 ended unchanged.

Shares in Pegasus (IS:PGSUS) fell to 52-week lows; losing 3.81% or 0.800 to 20.200. Shares in Vakiflar Bankasi (IS:VAKBN) fell to 52-week lows; down 3.80% or 0.150 to 3.800.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.27% or 3.00 to $1115.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.73% or 0.31 to hit $42.72 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.17% or 0.09 to trade at $48.66 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.04% to 2.8973, while EUR/TRY rose 0.55% to 3.1951.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.23% at 97.06.
