Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Public Services and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 1.31% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 3.69% or 45.0 points to trade at 1265.0 at the close. Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) added 2.69% or 0.5 points to end at 19.1 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) was up 2.34% or 440.0 points to 19260.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which lost 5.03% or 500.0 points to trade at 9440.0 in late trade. Isagen SA (CN:ISG) unchanged 0% or 0 points to end at 4065.0 and Corp Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) gained 0.10% or 40.0 points to 38400.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 27 to 2 and 1 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was up 0.33% or 0.45 to $137.22 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 1.32% or 40.00 to hit $3062.50 , while the December Gold contract rose 0.27% or 3.60 to trade at $1351.10 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.01% to 2928.99, while BRL/COP fell 0.37% to 915.91.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.87% at 94.75.
