Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Property, Services and Holding Firms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite rose 0.76%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Bloomberry Res (PS:BLOOM), which rose 6.14% or 0.350 points to trade at 6.050 at the close. Meanwhile, Lt Group (PS:LTG) added 4.55% or 0.500 points to end at 11.500 and Alliance Globa (PS:AGI) was up 3.91% or 0.640 points to 17.000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Robinsons Land (PS:RLC), which fell 1.71% or 0.500 points to trade at 28.800 at the close. Dmci Holdings (PS:DMC) declined 1.27% or 0.160 points to end at 12.480 and Intl Container (PS:ICT) was down 1.16% or 0.900 points to 76.850.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 103 to 85 and 13 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.22% or 2.50 to $1148.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.28% or 1.10 to hit $49.63 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.78% or 0.93 to trade at $52.84 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.74% to 7.2573, while USD/PHP fell 0.74% to 46.128.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.09% at 95.61.
