Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Investment, Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 1.11% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Interconexion Electrica SA (CN:ISA), which rose 0.60% or 60.0 points to trade at 10040.0 at the close. Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) added 0.54% or 10.0 points to end at 1875.0 and Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.0 points to 29020.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which lost 2.83% or 70.0 points to trade at 2405.0 in late trade. Bcolombia (CN:BIC) declined 2.69% or 700.0 points to end at 25280.0 and Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) shed 2.52% or 380.0 points to 14720.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 20 to 5 and 6 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was up 2.84% or 4.33 to $156.90 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 0.16% or 4.50 to hit $2851.50 , while the December Gold contract rose 0.01% or 0.15 to trade at $1317.95 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.42% to 2907.50, while BRL/COP fell 0.14% to 891.52.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.17% at 95.95.
