Investing.com – Philippines equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Mining & Oil, Holding Firms and Property sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite fell 0.60%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were GT Capital Holdings Inc (PS:GTCAP), which rose 2.15% or 26.00 points to trade at 1237.00 at the close. Security Bank Corp (PS:SECB) added 2.05% or 5.00 points to end at 249.00 and Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC) was up 1.73% or 0.450 points to 26.500 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC), which lost 5.11% or 2.35 points to trade at 43.60 in late trade. JG Summit Holdings Inc (PS:JGS) declined 4.75% or 3.700 points to end at 74.250 and Petron Corp (PS:PCOR) shed 2.70% or 0.280 points to 10.100.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 105 to 91 and 50 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.22% or 2.83 to $1279.63 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.32% or 0.16 to hit $50.14 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.63% or 0.35 to trade at $56.15 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.05% to 7.6680, while USD/PHP rose 0.02% to 51.000.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 93.29.
