TORONTO, Feb 1 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index ended slightly higher on Wednesday, boosted by gains for some miners and energy companies, while a scrapped contract to supply uranium pushed Cameco Corp CCO.TO down 11.3 percent.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed up 16.43 points, or 0.11 percent, at 15,402.39.
