Feb 28 (Reuters) - Futures pointed to a lower opening for Canada's main stock index on Thursday as U.S. President Donald Trump walked away from a nuclear deal at a summit with North Korea.
The summit in Vietnam ended abruptly because of demands from North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to lift punishing U.S.-led sanctions. futures on the S&P/TSX index SXFc1 were down 0.07 percent at 7:10 a.m. ET.
Current account and producer prices data are due at 8:30 a.m. ET
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX .GSPTSE ended 6.39 points, or 0.04 percent, higher at 16,074.30 on Wednesday. Jones Industrial Average e-mini futures 1YMc1 were down 0.18 percent at 7:00 a.m. ET, while S&P 500 e-mini futures ESc1 were down 0.24 percent and Nasdaq 100 e-mini futures NQc1 were down 0.42 percent. .N
