Jan 29 (Reuters) - Futures for Canada's main stock index edged higher on Tuesday, helped by a rise in oil prices as Washington approved sanctions on Venezuelan state-owned oil firm.
March futures on the S&P/TSX index SXFc1 inched up 0.2 percent at 6:55 a.m. ET.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX .GSPTSE closed up 12.57 points, or 0.08 percent, to 15,378.62 on Monday. Jones Industrial Average e-mini futures 1YMc1 were marginally higher 0.01 percent at 6:55 a.m. ET, while S&P 500 e-mini futures ESc1 were flat and Nasdaq 100 e-mini futures NQc1 were down 0.06 percent. .N
