Nov 21 (Reuters) - Futures for Canada's main stock index rose on Wednesday, boosted by the energy sector as oil prices jumped after an unexpected decline in U.S. crude inventories.
U.S. crude inventories last week fell by 1.5 million barrels, the American Petroleum Institute said on Tuesday, easing concerns for now that a supply glut is building up. futures on the S&P/TSX index SXFc1 were up 0.58 percent at 7:00 a.m. ET.
Wholesale trade data for September is due at 8:30 a.m. ET.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX fell 194.01 points, or 1.29 percent, to 14,877.00, on Tuesday. Jones Industrial Average e-mini futures 1YMc1 were up 0.48 percent at 7:00 a.m. ET, while S&P 500 e-mini futures ESc1 were 0.57 percent higher and Nasdaq 100 e-mini futures NQc1 were up by 0.75 percent. .N
