Investing.com – China equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Mobile and Software & Computer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Shanghai, the Shanghai Composite declined 0.36%, while the SZSE Component index lost 0.89%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Shanghai Composite were Jiangsu Sunrain Solar Energy Co Ltd (SS:603366), which rose 10.09% or 0.540 points to trade at 5.890 at the close. Eagle Mining (SS:600711) added 10.04% or 0.940 points to end at 10.300 and Shanghai Wondertek Software Co Ltd (SS:603189) was up 10.01% or 1.990 points to 21.870 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Aurora Optoelectronics Co Ltd (SS:600666), which lost 10.03% or 1.030 points to trade at 9.240 in late trade. Yunnan Bowin Technology Industry Co Ltd (SS:600883) declined 7.34% or 0.670 points to end at 8.460 and Tasly Pharmaceutical Group Co Ltd (SS:600535) shed 6.90% or 3.180 points to 42.900.
The top performers on the SZSE Component were Shaanxi J&R Fire Protection Co Ltd (SZ:300116) which rose 10.11% to 4.03, Sichuan Chengfei Integration Technology Corp Ltd (SZ:002190) which was up 10.02% to settle at 23.94 and Zhonghong Holding Co Ltd (SZ:000979) which gained 9.70% to close at 1.47.
The worst performers were Chengdu Tianxing Instrument and Meter Co Ltd (SZ:000710) which was down 10.00% to 60.95 in late trade, Hangzhou Tigermed Consulting (SZ:300347) which lost 8.27% to settle at 52.55 and Betta Pharmaceuticals Co Ltd (SZ:300558) which was down 7.66% to 65.19 at the close.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 1013 to 309 and 54 ended unchanged on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
The CBOE China Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Shanghai Composite options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.17 a new 3-month low.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.11% or 1.40 to $1320.90 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.11% or 0.08 to hit $71.28 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 0.25% or 0.19 to trade at $77.28 a barrel.
USD/CNY was down 0.04% to 6.3465, while EUR/CNY fell 0.15% to 7.5540.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 92.62.
