Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare, Consumer Services and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.91% to hit a new 6-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were William Demant Holding AS (CO:WDH), which rose 3.51% or 5.1 points to trade at 150.4 at the close. Genmab (CO:GEN) added 3.06% or 38.0 points to end at 1278.0 and Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb) was up 1.78% or 4.4 points to 251.8 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Novozymes A/S B (CO:NZYMb), which lost 1.27% or 3.6 points to trade at 280.8 in late trade. Pandora A/S (CO:PNDORA) declined 0.81% or 6.0 points to end at 735.5 and Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK) shed 0.34% or 1.2 points to 351.8.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 78 to 39 and 16 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.19% or 0.62 to $52.86 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.94% or 0.52 to hit $55.76 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.07% or 0.85 to trade at $1256.45 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.11% to 7.0147, while EUR/DKK rose 0.02% to 7.4366.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 100.91.
