Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Chemicals and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 1.64% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Nordea Bank AB (CO:NDA), which rose 3.01% or 1.85 points to trade at 63.30 at the close. Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb) added 2.39% or 8.5 points to end at 364.4 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS) was up 2.30% or 10.1 points to 450.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included TDC A/S (CO:TDC), which lost 0.48% or 0.16 points to trade at 33.38 in late trade. A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb) unchanged 0.00% or 0 points to end at 8740 and FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) gained 0.04% or 0.1 points to 241.5.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 94 to 56 and 19 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.00% or 0.48 to $48.56 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.56% or 0.27 to hit $48.62 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.75% or 21.85 to trade at $1229.65 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.67% to 6.6720, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4368.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.35% at 95.56.
