Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare, Chemicals and Real Estate sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 2.20% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were William Demant Holding AS (CO:WDH), which rose 6.80% or 7.7 points to trade at 121.0 at the close. Coloplast A/S (CO:COLOb) added 4.99% or 22.0 points to end at 463.0 and Novozymes A/S B (CO:NZYMb) was up 4.76% or 10.6 points to 233.4 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS), which lost 2.07% or 8.4 points to trade at 397.0 in late trade. DSV (CO:DSV) added 0.17% or 0.5 points to end at 303.0 and A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb) gained 0.19% or 20 points to 10590.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 84 to 28 and 17 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.34% or 0.68 to $51.52 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.65% or 0.35 to hit $54.24 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.92% or 10.75 to trade at $1161.65 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.69% to 7.0559, while EUR/DKK fell 0.04% to 7.4367.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.59% at 101.71.
