Investing.com – Denmark equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Healthcare, Consumer Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 lost 1.81%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE), which rose 3.30% or 7.6 points to trade at 238.1 at the close. Coloplast A/S (CO:COLOb) added 1.98% or 9.8 points to end at 504.0 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS) was up 1.31% or 6.5 points to 503.5 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb), which lost 7.29% or 18.2 points to trade at 231.3 in late trade. AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CO:MAERSKb) declined 2.98% or 350 points to end at 11390 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CO:MAERSKa) shed 2.41% or 270 points to 10950.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 72 to 48 and 16 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.20% or 0.11 to $53.77 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.07% or 0.04 to hit $56.84 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.82% or 9.95 to trade at $1218.25 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.22% to 6.8915, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4382.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 99.57.
