Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Utilities, Oil & Gas and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.25%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM), which rose 3.13% or 0.69 points to trade at 22.75 at the close. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) added 1.77% or 0.68 points to end at 39.06 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) was up 1.60% or 0.0730 points to 4.6280 in late trade.
Biggest losers included UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM), which lost 1.07% or 0.35 points to trade at 32.29 in late trade. DNA Oyj (HE:DNAO) declined 0.72% or 0.1300 points to end at 18.0200 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) shed 0.42% or 0.07 points to 16.68.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 78 to 74 and 12 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was up 0.38% or 0.29 to $77.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.28% or 0.19 to hit $67.56 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.08% or 1.00 to trade at $1201.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.42% to 1.1602, while EUR/GBP fell 0.42% to 0.8906.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 95.08.
