Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Utilities and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.23%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV), which rose 3.40% or 1.80 points to trade at 54.75 at the close. Konecranes Abp (HE:KCRA) added 1.46% or 0.55 points to end at 38.25 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) was up 1.19% or 0.37 points to 31.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 3.37% or 0.2450 points to trade at 7.0250 in late trade. Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) declined 0.77% or 0.090 points to end at 11.560 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) shed 0.66% or 0.25 points to 37.61.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 75 to 64 and 14 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was up 0.10% or 0.05 to $51.87 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $48.85 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.57% or 6.95 to trade at $1236.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.93% to 1.1077, while EUR/GBP rose 0.80% to 0.8576.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.69% at 98.13.
