Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 1.39% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which rose 4.64% or 0.35 points to trade at 7.90 at the close. Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) added 4.59% or 1.70 points to end at 38.73 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) was up 3.41% or 0.2250 points to 6.8300 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V), which lost 1.13% or 0.41 points to trade at 35.97 in late trade. Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) declined 0.14% or 0.04 points to end at 28.71 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) shed 0.13% or 0.03 points to 23.07.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 91 to 45 and 15 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was down 0.44% or 0.21 to $47.16 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.53% or 0.24 to hit $44.73 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.56% or 7.00 to trade at $1249.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.31% to 1.1162, while EUR/GBP rose 0.03% to 0.8763.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 97.14.
