Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 2.30% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 5.24% or 0.340 points to trade at 6.825 at the close. Konecranes Abp (HE:KCRA) added 4.50% or 1.50 points to end at 34.80 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) was up 4.45% or 1.25 points to 29.34 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which lost 0.45% or 0.17 points to trade at 37.44 in late trade. YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) declined 0.15% or 0.01 points to end at 6.55 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) gained 0.28% or 0.06 points to 21.47.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 105 to 36 and 12 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was down 0.51% or 0.27 to $52.17 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.71% or 0.35 to hit $49.27 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 1.04% or 13.42 to trade at $1275.68 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 1.16% to 1.0852, while EUR/GBP rose 1.41% to 0.8488.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.64% at 99.02.
