Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Oil & Gas and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.87%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 3.83% or 0.146 points to trade at 3.962 at the close. YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) added 0.22% or 0.01 points to end at 6.73 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) was up 0.11% or 0.04 points to 37.95 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V), which lost 2.08% or 0.180 points to trade at 8.480 in late trade. Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) declined 2.08% or 0.52 points to end at 24.43 and Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMAS) shed 1.96% or 0.78 points to 39.11.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 112 to 62 and 20 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was down 1.12% or 0.59 to $51.92 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.35% or 0.69 to hit $50.54 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.90% or 11.35 to trade at $1273.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.70% to 1.1315, while EUR/GBP fell 0.32% to 0.7829.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.49% at 94.05.
