January 27 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index futures fell on Monday, as oil prices declined on fears of slowing demand due to the potential economic fallout from the fast-spreading coronavirus.
Crude prices dropped below $60 for the first time in nearly three months as the death toll from China's coronavirus rose and more businesses were forced to shut down. O/R
March futures on the S&P/TSX index SXFc1 were down 0.88% at 7:00 a.m. ET.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's TSX index fell 0.32% to 17,565.34 on Friday. Jones Industrial Average e-mini futures 1YMc1 were down 1.4% at 7:00 a.m. ET, while S&P 500 e-mini futures ESc1 were down 1.41% and Nasdaq 100 e-mini futures NQc1 were down 1.83%. .N
