Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Retail, Travel and Construction sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite gained 0.36%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which rose 8.05% or 0.0140 points to trade at 0.1880 at the close. Reds (AT:CAMr) added 6.25% or 0.020 points to end at 0.340 and Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) was up 5.63% or 0.009 points to 0.165 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kri-Kri Milk (AT:KRIr), which lost 2.44% or 0.040 points to trade at 1.600 in late trade. Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH) declined 1.56% or 0.020 points to end at 1.260 and Intracom Hold (AT:INRr) shed 1.27% or 0.004 points to 0.310.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 47 to 36 and 27 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was up 0.18% or 2.35 to $1281.75 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.11% or 0.05 to hit $44.94 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.11% or 0.05 to trade at $46.10 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.10% to 1.1051, while EUR/GBP fell 0.06% to 0.8901.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.07% at 97.71.
