Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Construction, Household and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite lost 0.21% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr), which rose 5.42% or 0.380 points to trade at 7.390 at the close. Mytilineos Holdings SA (AT:MYTr) added 5.40% or 0.330 points to end at 6.440 and Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr) was up 5.26% or 0.002 points to 0.040 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which lost 8.64% or 0.0140 points to trade at 0.1630 in late trade. Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) declined 5.00% or 0.010 points to end at 0.190 and Athens Medical (AT:AMCr) shed 4.42% or 0.026 points to 0.562.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 46 to 46 and 19 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was up 1.38% or 16.50 to $1212.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 1.62% or 0.85 to hit $53.48 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 1.81% or 1.00 to trade at $56.32 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.92% to 1.0793, while EUR/GBP rose 0.27% to 0.8587.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.85% at 99.57.
