Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Household, Technology and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite fell 0.40%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr), which rose 11.76% or 0.040 points to trade at 0.380 at the close. Centric Hold (AT:DESr) added 6.19% or 0.006 points to end at 0.103 and Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) was up 4.27% or 0.0070 points to 0.1550 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Jumbo SA (AT:BABr), which lost 6.27% or 0.920 points to trade at 13.760 in late trade. National Bank of Greece (AT:NBGr) declined 4.17% or 0.01 points to end at 0.23 and Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr) shed 2.80% or 0.030 points to 1.040.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 53 to 47 and 17 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for February delivery was up 0.01% or 0.15 to $1201.65 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 2.61% or 1.36 to hit $53.48 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 2.77% or 1.50 to trade at $55.66 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.04% to 1.0669, while EUR/GBP rose 0.23% to 0.8659.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.04% at 101.14.
