Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials, Telecoms and Basic Resources sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite fell 0.80%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr), which rose 9.68% or 0.2400 points to trade at 2.7200 at the close. Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr) added 6.52% or 0.045 points to end at 0.735 and Elton S.A. (AT:ELNr) was up 1.67% or 0.015 points to 0.915 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kri-Kri Milk (AT:KRIr), which lost 6.94% or 0.120 points to trade at 1.610 in late trade. Kleeman Hellas (AT:KLEr) declined 5.49% or 0.090 points to end at 1.550 and Select Textile (AT:EPIr) shed 3.51% or 0.004 points to 0.110.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 55 to 31 and 20 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 0.04% or 0.55 to $1325.35 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.62% or 0.77 to hit $46.87 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 1.56% or 0.78 to trade at $49.37 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.23% to 1.1169, while EUR/GBP rose 0.23% to 0.8543.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.23% at 95.70.
