Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Media, Banking and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite lost 0.93%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Autohellas (AT:AUTr), which rose 13.07% or 1.53 points to trade at 13.24 at the close. Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) added 5.37% or 0.0080 points to end at 0.1560 and Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) was up 4.48% or 0.0380 points to 0.8870 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which lost 9.60% or 0.019 points to trade at 0.179 in late trade. Centric Hold (AT:DESr) declined 7.69% or 0.008 points to end at 0.096 and Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr) shed 7.29% or 0.025 points to 0.318.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 57 to 38 and 24 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.09% or 1.15 to $1227.65 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.24% or 0.13 to hit $53.20 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 0.04% or 0.02 to trade at $55.92 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.26% to 1.0593, while EUR/GBP rose 0.16% to 0.8646.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.23% at 101.58.
