Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Retail, Telecoms and Household sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite rose 0.69%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Folli Follie (AT:HDFr), which rose 5.26% or 0.95 points to trade at 19.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Jumbo (AT:BABr) added 5.06% or 0.360 points to end at 7.480 and Grivalia Properties REIC (AT:GRIr) was up 4.58% or 0.35 points to 7.99 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Dromeas (AT:DROr), which fell 12.88% or 0.017 points to trade at 0.115 at the close. Autohellas (AT:AUTr) declined 8.29% or 0.85 points to end at 9.40 and Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) was down 7.77% or 0.024 points to 0.285.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 47 to 38 and 9 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.20% or 2.20 to $1122.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 7.07% or 2.73 to hit $41.33 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 6.57% or 2.83 to trade at $45.98 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.72% to 1.1234, while EUR/GBP fell 0.22% to 0.7301.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.56% at 95.83.
