Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Chemicals and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite declined 0.30%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Dromeas (AT:DROr), which rose 29.17% or 0.035 points to trade at 0.155 at the close. Meanwhile, Autohellas (AT:AUTr) added 15.38% or 1.40 points to end at 10.50 and National Bank of Greece (AT:NBGr) was up 9.18% or 0.04 points to 0.54 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bank Of Piraeus (AT:BOPr), which fell 9.88% or 0.008 points to trade at 0.073 at the close. Alpha Bank (AT:ACBr) declined 6.96% or 0.008 points to end at 0.107 and Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) was down 4.17% or 0.001 points to 0.023.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 45 to 45 and 6 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.42% or 4.80 to $1143.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.82% or 0.87 to hit $48.68 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 2.02% or 1.03 to trade at $52.37 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.34% to 1.1277, while EUR/GBP rose 0.48% to 0.7372.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.21% at 95.45.
