Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Travel, Food and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite fell 0.69%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Dromeas (AT:DROr), which rose 24.51% or 0.025 points to trade at 0.127 at the close. Meanwhile, J. & P. Avax (AT:AVAr) added 13.19% or 0.048 points to end at 0.412 and Centric Hold (AT:DESr) was up 10.66% or 0.013 points to 0.135 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr), which fell 9.94% or 0.033 points to trade at 0.299 at the close. Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr) declined 8.59% or 0.34 points to end at 3.62 and Iaso (AT:IASr) was down 7.78% or 0.043 points to 0.510.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 49 to 39 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr) fell to 52-week lows; falling 8.59% or 0.34 to 3.62.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.77% or 8.70 to $1114.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 2.29% or 0.99 to hit $42.31 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 1.41% or 0.71 to trade at $49.47 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.20% to 1.1136, while EUR/GBP fell 0.04% to 0.7144.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.24% at 96.52.
