Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Healthcare, Banking and Basic Resources sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite lost 3.52%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Dromeas (AT:DROr), which rose 18.11% or 0.023 points to trade at 0.150 at the close. Meanwhile, Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr) added 6.51% or 0.25 points to end at 4.09 and Titan Cement (AT:TTNr) was up 3.48% or 0.730 points to 21.690 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alpha Bank (AT:ACBr), which fell 14.66% or 0.017 points to trade at 0.099 at the close. Hygeia (AT:HYGr) declined 13.82% or 0.017 points to end at 0.106 and Bank Of Piraeus (AT:BOPr) was down 13.51% or 0.015 points to 0.096.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 69 to 25 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Alpha Bank (AT:ACBr) fell to all time lows; down 14.66% or 0.017 to 0.099. Shares in Bank Of Piraeus (AT:BOPr) fell to all time lows; down 13.51% or 0.015 to 0.096.
Gold for December delivery was up 1.84% or 20.70 to $1148.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.22% or 0.09 to hit $41.36 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.41% or 0.20 to trade at $46.97 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.68% to 1.1195, while EUR/GBP rose 0.73% to 0.7143.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.41% at 96.02.
