Investing.com – Indonesia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Industry, Manufacturing and Consumer Industry sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite rose 0.68%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Asuransi Harta Aman Pratama Tbk PT (JK:AHAP), which rose 22.35% or 38 points to trade at 208 at the close. Intan Baruprana Finance Tbk (JK:IBFN) added 21.05% or 16.00 points to end at 92.00 and Prasidha Aneka Niaga Tbk (JK:PSDN) was up 18.88% or 74 points to 466 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Trust Finance Indonesia Tbk (JK:TRUS), which lost 20.00% or 60.00 points to trade at 240.00 in late trade. Bank Woori Saudara Indonesia 1906 (JK:SDRA) declined 18.60% or 160 points to end at 700 and Bank Ina Perdana Tbk (JK:BINA) shed 14.56% or 115 points to 675.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 185 to 174 and 126 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.34% or 0.22 to $63.69 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.25% or 0.17 to hit $67.12 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.15% or 2.00 to trade at $1334.80 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 0.14% to 13681.0, while AUD/IDR fell 0.09% to 10712.00.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 89.75.
