Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Financials and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 0.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Banca Pop Emilia Romagna (MI:EMII), which rose 1.86% or 0.064 points to trade at 3.514 at the close. Banca Mediolanum SpA (MI:BMED) added 1.69% or 0.105 points to end at 6.325 and A2A (MI:A2) was up 1.51% or 0.018 points to 1.207 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA), which lost 2.74% or 0.170 points to trade at 6.025 in late trade. Tenaris (MI:TENR) declined 1.38% or 0.17 points to end at 12.15 and Prysmian (MI:PRY) shed 1.36% or 0.30 points to 21.82.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 206 to 191 and 34 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.64% or 1.18 to $43.52 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 2.54% or 1.19 to hit $45.70 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.42% or 5.55 to trade at $1316.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.32% to 1.1193, while EUR/GBP fell 0.72% to 0.8432.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.32% at 95.70.
