Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Telecoms and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 0.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Exor NV (MI:EXOR), which rose 1.22% or 0.55 points to trade at 45.59 at the close. Prysmian (MI:PRY) added 1.11% or 0.26 points to end at 23.60 and Ferrari NV (MI:RACE) was up 1.06% or 0.65 points to 62.05 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banca Pop Emilia Romagna (MI:EMII), which lost 4.20% or 0.192 points to trade at 4.380 in late trade. Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP) declined 2.48% or 0.57 points to end at 22.45 and UBI Banca (MI:UBI) shed 2.33% or 0.0760 points to 3.1820.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 168 to 162 and 18 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.26% or 0.14 to $53.34 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.12% or 0.07 to hit $56.08 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.65% or 7.95 to trade at $1217.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.01% to 1.0581, while EUR/GBP rose 0.21% to 0.8667.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 101.72.
