Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Chemicals, Travel & Leisure and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.52%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI), which rose 913.23% or 3.5890 points to trade at 3.9820 at the close. Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP) added 3.09% or 0.79 points to end at 26.34 and Banca Mediolanum SpA (MI:BMED) was up 2.10% or 0.155 points to 7.550 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Azimut Holding (MI:AZMT), which lost 4.32% or 0.83 points to trade at 18.38 in late trade. UnipolSai Assicurazioni SpA (MI:US) declined 4.26% or 0.092 points to end at 2.066 and Snam (MI:SRG) shed 4.24% or 0.184 points to 4.154.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 191 to 167 and 11 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.83% or 0.42 to $51.09 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.56% or 0.30 to hit $53.91 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.46% or 5.80 to trade at $1259.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.21% to 1.1232, while EUR/GBP rose 0.44% to 0.8634.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 96.88.
