Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Healthcare and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 1.22%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA (MI:FBK), which rose 5.58% or 0.27 points to trade at 5.05 at the close. A2A (MI:A2) added 0.92% or 0.011 points to end at 1.213 and Salvatore Ferragamo (MI:SFER) was up 0.89% or 0.20 points to 22.69 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banco Popolare (MI:BAPO), which lost 4.69% or 0.118 points to trade at 2.400 in late trade. Banca Popolare Milano (MI:PMII) declined 4.61% or 0.0193 points to end at 0.3998 and UnipolSai Assicurazioni SpA (MI:US) shed 4.41% or 0.067 points to 1.453.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 295 to 115 and 21 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.32% or 0.16 to $50.34 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.21% or 0.11 to hit $51.92 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.36% or 4.55 to trade at $1258.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.27% to 1.1040, while EUR/GBP rose 0.07% to 0.9031.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.36% at 97.64.
