TOKYO, March 8 (Reuters) - Japan will sell imported wheat todomestic millers at an average price of 54,370 yen ($513) pertonne in April-September, up 3.5 percent from the previoussix-month period, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry andFisheries said.
The move reflects higher wheat prices in its main suppliers, higher shipping rates and a weaker yen, the ministry said in astatement this week.
Japan buys most of its milling grain through import tendersfor five types of wheat from Australia, Canada and the UnitedStates. It sells to domestic millers at prices set twice a year.($1 = 105.9300 yen)
