Investing.com – Mexico equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods & Services, Financial Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC rose 0.18%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Ohl Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:OHLMEX), which rose 2.74% or 0.720 points to trade at 26.970 at the close. Alfa, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALFAA) added 2.49% or 0.610 points to end at 25.080 and Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GMEXICOB) was up 1.82% or 1.060 points to 59.190 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Arca Continental , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:AC), which lost 1.31% or 1.78 points to trade at 133.96 in late trade. Wal - Mart De Mexico, SAB De CV (MX:WALMEX) declined 1.20% or 0.530 points to end at 43.560 and Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES) shed 0.99% or 4.53 points to 451.37.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 130 to 86 and 10 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.42% or 5.40 to $1291.30 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.17% or 0.08 to hit $47.61 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.08% or 0.04 to trade at $51.62 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.08% to 17.6684, while EUR/MXN fell 0.36% to 20.7846.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.45% at 93.42.
