Investing.com – Mexico equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Financial Services and Telecoms Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC added 0.65%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Gentera SAB de CV (MX:GENTERA), which rose 5.01% or 0.690 points to trade at 14.450 at the close. Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES) added 3.50% or 11.77 points to end at 348.17 and Grupo LALA SA de CV (MX:LALAB) was up 3.38% or 0.70 points to 21.39 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Alpek, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALPEKA), which lost 2.95% or 0.860 points to trade at 28.300 in late trade. Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico SAB De CV Class B (MX:GAPB) declined 2.43% or 4.13 points to end at 165.85 and Grupo Aeroportuario Del CentroNorte (MX:OMAB) shed 1.88% or 1.860 points to 96.980.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 156 to 128 and 13 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $1290.90 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.40% or 0.29 to hit $72.06 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.24% or 0.19 to trade at $79.41 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.26% to 19.7698, while EUR/MXN fell 0.37% to 23.2847.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 93.51.
