Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms Services, Materials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC fell 0.25%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (MX:GFINBURO), which rose 2.88% or 0.940 points to trade at 33.540 at the close. El Puerto De Liverpool Sab De CV (MX:LIVEPOLC1) added 1.68% or 2.19 points to end at 132.90 and Wal - Mart De Mexico, SAB De CV (MX:WALMEX) was up 1.67% or 0.740 points to 45.000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included VOLARIS A (MX:VOLARA), which lost 2.93% or 0.56 points to trade at 18.57 in late trade. Becle SA (MX:CUERVO) declined 2.13% or 0.680 points to end at 31.210 and Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GMEXICOB) shed 2.12% or 1.350 points to 62.450.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 176 to 80 and 13 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.14% or 1.82 to $1285.52 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.37% or 0.21 to hit $57.02 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.11% or 0.07 to trade at $63.88 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.01% to 19.0424, while EUR/MXN fell 0.01% to 22.1690.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.37% at 94.42.
